July  2009

July 7 –Full Moon, Lunar Eclipse in Capricorn @ 5:21 AM EDST - This is a time of fruition, a time when issues, problems, or projects are finalized or resolved.  Many times this can be when that which you initiated, hoped or planned for during the new moon cycle comes to be.  Now is the time to prioritize, focus and put energy into those areas of your life that are accented by this lunation cycle.

Remember that emotions tend to be more volatile and sensitive for everyone. Tempers tend to flair during the time leading up to and following this lunation.  There is a tendency for everything to be exaggerated.  It is best to wait and not over react.  This time can be best used for planning and organizing.  Think of it as time when things become more clearly defined.  Enjoy the magnification of the light that the full moon provides for us as it reflects on planet earth and our soul being.

July 20 – Balsamic Moon until 10:35 PM on the 21^st - This phase is also called the “dark of the Moon,” which is when the Sun’s light is not reflective.  It is not a good time to initiate any projects that you would want to have long-term results.  This is also not the best time to be making new contacts if you are in sales or marketing.

This should be a quiet, working behind the scenes period.  It would be best to avoid high expectations, major decisions or physical projects.  You will want to focus on mental tasks for best use of your time on these days.

July 21 – New Moon, Solar Eclipse in Cancer, @ 10:35 PM EDST – Although there is a new moon this evening, I would treat it as a ” balsamic moon day” all day and not plan to initiate anything new until the 22^nd.  This is a time when most people will respond and make decisions through their emotions.  If you are so inclined, this can be an extremely intuitive cycle for you.  Those who are born with their sun or moon in Cancer, Scorpio or Pisces will be very tuned into this lunar cycle. Hence, their intuition will be well developed.

If you were born with your sun or moon in this sign this will be an exceptionally active and busy year for you.

How long does an Eclipse Cycle affect your life?

Although the lunar and solar eclipses will take place this month, their affects are much more residual than the normal New and Full Moon cycles, which last for only one month.  We can expect to feel the residuals of the eclipse cycle for six months to a year, depending on how strongly it is impacting your astrological chart. We can even begin to feel the affects several weeks prior to the actual eclipse.   If the eclipse is taking place on your Sun or Moon, or any of your planets, it will be a more powerful and longer lasting cycle for you.  The following is a brief explanation for each Sun sign based on this eclipse cycle and other factors that I have taken into consideration.  Please realize that in order for me to be more precise, I would need to actually study your personal astrology chart.  For those of you who are my clients, you are already aware of this.  But if you are reading my newsletter for the first time, I feel that it is important for me to clarify this

Saturn in Virgo - until November – Saturn is still making its do-diligence journey through Virgo.  This is giving Virgos a good opportunity to dig in their heels and accomplish a great deal.

2009 - Uranus/Saturn Opposition – The big thing that we have going on in the sky this year is the Saturn/Uranus opposition until November 2009, which is when Saturn goes into Libra.

  The key word for the Saturn/Uranus opposition is “a challenge to the status quo.”  This has been operating on a universal level since October 2008.  And hence we had  presidential election in November.  But while this election can be seen as the perfect example of this opposition, it is not the only event that we will see.  Think of the coming two years as a period of rebellion against stagnant systems that no longer work but are resistant to change, individually and collectively.

  Saturn represents authority and Uranus represents change or questioning authority.  When these two planets oppose each other in the sky we have a struggle with structures, and foundations.  We are certainly seeing this on a national level and in our personal lives.  This is what the saying “as above, so below” represents.

The last time this same planetary alignment took place was 1965-67 and 1918-1920

I’ll bet everyone can remember what they were doing in the mid 60’s.  I certainly can.  That was right around the time the Beatles hit it big.  That was a major change in status quo for the music industry.  ions and feelings can be very strong when the moon is in Pisces.  Be careful not to over react or to allow your feelings to be easily hurt.  This will be especially true if you were born with your Sun or Moon in Pisces.

ARIES {Mar 21-Apr 21} Key words:  aggressive, straightforward, impulsive, adventurous, active -  – Aries – Your areas of focus will be geared toward finding a balance between your career and working with the public, and your family/home life.  This will be a very busy cycle for you with many new opportunities coming your way. You will reap the rewards of the hard work you have put forth.  Friends and organizations that you have been affiliated with will be very supportive of your endeavors.  This is the time to take care of any health check ups that you have been putting off.

You will want to get in touch with your goals, your hopes and dreams and wishes.  Friends will play an important role in your life.  You may become more involved in your community and or social causes.  

TAURUS {Apr 22-May 21} Key words:  possessive, stable, determined, practical, materialistic, sensual      Your areas of focus will be geared toward education and travel.  You may decide to take up a new course of study or interest or continue with one that you have already started.  This is a good time for you to get in touch with your higher mind and higher consciousness.   There may be more interaction with your siblings.  You will receive benefits from work that you have already done.  You will be more comfortable if your leisure time is structured and productive.

GEMINI {May 22-June 21)  Key words:  versatile, flexible, sociable, dualistic, curious, inquisitive  -      Your areas of focus will be geared toward re-evaluating your values and what is really important to you.  This can be from a monetary or non-monetary point of view.  You will want to take a look at your total financial picture and make certain that you are organized and where you want to be.  You may need to review your insurance portfolio and tax situation.  You will reap the benefits from the education you have received, be it formal or informal.  This can be an excellent time to get in touch with your higher mind and higher consciousness.

CANCER {June 22-July 21}  Key words:  domestic, nurturing, emotional, sensitive, evasive, moody   - Your areas of focus will be geared toward one-on-one communications and relationships.  If there is stress in your marriage or a relationship, business or personal, you will need to work on it during this cycle.  You will be inclined to develop your communication skills.  This can be a year of major changes for you. The closer the July 21^st solar eclipse falls to your birthday the more significant it will be for you.   If you are single you could marry this year.  You could receive financial benefits or help from your investments or a significant other.

LEO {Jul 22-Aug 23}  Key words:  power, leader, generous, creative, dramatic, enthusiastic, magnanimous -   Your areas of focus will be geared toward your health and your day-to-day routine.  There could be a change in your work environment or the people that you work with.  Any health matters that you have been putting off will need to be taken care of, like a physical or routine check up, etc.  You may be called upon for service, to help someone or make a hospital visit.  A partnership or relationship would be very positive during this cycle.  You may need to be financially conservative until early November.

VIRGO {Aug 24-Sept 22}  Key words:  discriminating, critical, methodical, analytical, service and detail oriented -   Your areas of focus will be geared toward your social life.  You will want to have more fun, be more romantic and play more during this cycle.  This is when the child in you can come out and play.  Become more active and involved in social groups and activities.  This is when you will want to get in touch with your hopes and goals and dreams and wishes.  Your friends will become more important to you and play a more active role in your life during this cycle.  Although there is still seriousness about you, it is OK to enjoy life and have fun.

LIBRA {Sept 23-Oct 21}  Key words:  balance, harmony, companionship, partnership, romance, negotiation -    Your areas of focus will be geared toward your home and family matters.  There is a possibility that you could move, remodel or make some changes in your home.  You could have someone moving in or moving out, like a child or parent. You could be receiving benefits or a great deal of pleasure from a child or children in your life, as this is a very positive cycle for interacting with children.  If you are a teacher this will be a very gratifying time in your life.  You can expect some rewards or positive news regarding your career or professional life.

SCORPIO {Oct 22-Nov 21}  Key words:  resourceful, secretive, passionate, intense, transformational -   Your areas of focus will be geared toward a possible change in your day-to- day activities or routine.  There may be some changes in your neighborhood or the streets surrounding you.  If you have not been close with your siblings you could very well develop a relationship with them during this cycle.  If there is already a good relationship it could become even better.  You may lean more toward a course of study and travel during this time.  It is an excellent time to develop your intuition and higher consciousness.

SAGITTARIUS {Nov 22-Dec21}  Key words:  aspiring, exploring, freedom-loving, adventurer, traveler  - Your areas of focus will be geared toward your finances and investments. This could mean a change or fluctuation in your finances. You will want to reassess your values and what is important to you.  You may want to take a second look at your insurance coverage. Your work ethics are very strong now and you will be rewarded for your hard work and diligence. You are in a cycle for a status change or a promotion opportunity.  This cycle is in effect until the end of October for you.

CAPRICORN {Dec.22-Jan21} Key words; conscientious, prudent, efficient, reliable, patient  - Your areas of focus will be geared toward your gaining power and maintaining control. This is a time when you will want to take charge of everything, especially your own life.  It is very important that you try to maintain your flexibility during this cycle, which will be in effect for several years.  You could be going through a physical metamorphosis or change. Relationship issues will be prominent on your agenda.  This is perhaps where it will be most important for you to allow yourself to be flexible.  This can be a very positive cycle for you if used correctly. PISCES {Feb 22-Mar 20}  Key words:  sensitive, intuitive, emotional, escapist, imaginative, impressionable  -   Pisces - Your areas of focus will be geared toward the social aspects of your life.  You will want to become more active in groups or organizations.  This can be a very social and outgoing time for you.  Learn to play and enjoy life.  You will be guided to be in the right place at the right time.  It is like you have a guardian angel watching over you.  This is a perfect opportunity for you to reassess your life and decide what you really want to do and what is really important to you.  After all life is a journey.
