August
6th -7th –
Seven Planets forming a grand cross
in the cardinal signs of Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn -
Many of you have been emailing me about the planetary
configuration that we are experiencing and what it means.
In an attempt to generate understanding without
over-dramatizing or creating doom and gloom, I will explain this
simply so as to explain its general impact.
July
21st – September 9 -
Pluto, the transformer, is in Capricorn, which has been squaring
Jupiter, the expander, and Uranus, the eccentric changer, in Aries.
Saturn, the tester and teacher, is in Libra forming a t-square.
On August 7th, Venus, the peacemaker, and Mars, the
worrier, will also come into Libra, joining Saturn, which will add
more energy to the t-square. Finally,
on August 6th and 7th, the Moon will be in
Cancer, which will set off a grand cross.
In astrological terms, a square, which is a 90 degree angle, is
a major aspect, regarded as challenging and inharmonious.
When we have four of them in effect at the same time, it is
called a grand cross and can be very stressful.
The brief descriptions above for each of the planets are there
to help you better understand how this grand cross may impact our
planet and ourselves.
My
personal feeling about this is that it will be very significant time
on a universal level as well as personally.
Anything that is going on in the world will be magnified and
exaggerated. Since Venus
rules our values and finances, the financial astrologers have been
discussing how this will affect our financial markets.
I have heard it called “the perfect financial storm.”
You no doubt will be seeing something in the news about this.
I would expect that we will see some spin off from this in the primary
elections as people are reassessing their values and finances.
I believe this planetary configuration will bring about changes
and many of the incumbents will not be re-elected
The last time Saturn and Uranus were opposite each other was in
the fall of 2008 and we all know what happened in that election.
This should be very interesting to observe.
Jupiter, Pluto and Saturn will continue in this square configuration
until mid September when Jupiter and Uranus pull back into Pisces by
retrograde motion. Obviously the Moon will not stay in Cancer that
long which is why the trigger dates for the grand cross are August 6th
and 7th. So
we can look for August to be a bit dicey.
Depending upon where this grand cross falls in your chart, will
determine how it will play out in your personal life.
Those who were born with their sun or moon in Aries, Cancer,
Libra or Capricorn will be most affected.
This is about making changes and adjustments.
Saturn
in Libra -
Since November of 2009, Saturn has been teetering back and forth
between Virgo and Libra.
Since September of 2007, Virgos have been tested and taught
life’s lessons. They
have most likely had to take on more responsibility in some area of
their life, depending on which house in their chart Saturn has been
traveling through. They
should now begin to feel that the weight of the world has been lifted
from their shoulders. The
load will be much lighter. But
they are the better for having carried it.
This Saturn in Virgo cycle has also been affecting Gemini, Sagittarius
and Pisces. Although not
as directly, they still have been feeling Saturn’s iron glove.
It is now Libra’s turn to travel through this growth cycle.
If you are a Libra whose birthday falls between September 23
– 30, you are probably already beginning to feel the onset of the
additional responsibility. This
can be a tremendous growth cycle for you.
It will be very important for you to take care of your health
during this cycle. Try not
to take on too many projects at once.
Conserve your energy. The
upside to this cycle is that you could get a promotion at work or have
more responsibility. You
will be thought of as an authority figure during this cycle, and
people will come to you seeking advice.
You will be well respected and thought of.
Whatever your age, you will appear to be more mature and
perceived as an authority figure.
I am not talking about your physical appearance.
The air of confidence and authority will be apparent by the way
you carry yourself and come across to people.
You can ask any Virgo who has just gone through this cycle
about how wise and mature they feel.
This Saturn in Libra cycle will also be affecting Aries, Cancer and
Capricorn. Although not as
directly, they still will feel the strong influence of Saturn’s
discipline, structure and responsibility.
Saturn
and Mars in Libra
- Mars will be accompanying Saturn as he begins his journey through
Libra this month. Saturn
and Mars make interesting traveling companions.
This could present challenges, especially for those who
were born with their sun in the sign of Libra or Aries, if they do not
choose to use this cycle to their benefit. Saturn represents structure
and discipline, while Mars represents immediate action and dynamic
energy. The key to these
planets working well together is structured energy. For
example take your time and have a plan of action before taking action.
You may find that you require more rest this month.
August
9th - Balsamic Moon until 11:08 PM EDST - This phase is also called the “dark
of the Moon,” which is when the Sun’s light is not reflective.
It is not a good time to
initiate any projects that you would want to have long-term results.
This is also not the best time to be making new contacts if you
are in sales or marketing. This
should be a quiet, working behind the scenes day.
It would be best to avoid high expectations, major decisions or
physical projects. A focus
on mental tasks will be the best use of your time.
August 9th New Moon @ 11:08 PM EDST in Leo - The
new moon is an excellent time to initiate anything that you would like
to have longevity. When it
is in the affectionate, romantic sign of Leo you may attract a new
romance or love interest in your life, or you may enjoy new found love
with your current partner. When
the Moon is in Leo you should enjoy and experience creative and fun
activities in your life. Go
to the theater or a movie or enjoy preparing a romantic meal. This is a very creative and fun loving cycle.
This is when the child in you wants to come out and play.
August
20th – September 13th Mercury
is Retrograde in Virgo -
For those of you
who are new to my newsletter, Mercury goes retrograde approximately
three times a year. When
Mercury is retrograde it means that it is moving in an apparent
backward motion. This can
affect all areas of communication and travel.
Scheduling and rescheduling appointments, lost documents,
faulty machinery, broken promises and misleading information could be
an issue during this retrograde cycle. This would not be a good time
to negotiate or sign new contracts.
But if you must however, make certain that you have read and
re-read the contract. Do
not leave anything to chance. Telephones,
computers and other related sources of communication could become
troublesome.
This is not a particularly good time to buy anything new, as you will
probably not be satisfied with it later.
This is especially not a favorable time to purchase a new car
or computer. If either of
these items have pending repairs this is when the need would become
imminent.
This is an especially auspicious time to re-group, re-organize,
re-read, re-think decisions, re-write and re-process information.
Think of this time as a balsamic moon that lasts for 21 days.
This can be a very positive time to play catch up.
I always use this time to clean our closets and drawers. This
is a cycle for completion rather then initiating projects.
August
24th – Full Moon in Pisces
- The full Moon is when things come to fruition.
You will receive the answers and have a clearer understanding.
This can be a very emotional and sensitive time for you,
especially if you were born with your Sun or Moon in the Sign of
Pisces. This is a
wonderful time for self reflection and introspection.
When the Moon is full emotions are magnified, especially when
it is in Pisces. With that
in mind, you want to try not to take things too personally.
Emotions will run high during this lunar cycle.
October
9th – 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM - “Journey Into The

Gemini
– Your areas of focus will be
geared toward re-evaluating your values and what is really important
to you. This can be from a
monetary or non-monetary point of view.
You will want to take a look at your total financial picture
and make certain that you are organized and where you want to be.
You may need to review your insurance portfolio and tax
situation. You will reap
the benefits from the education you have received, be it formal or
informal. You will receive
encouragement and benefits from friends and groups and organizations
that you are involved with.
Cancer
- Your areas of focus will be
geared toward one-on-one communications and relationships.
If there is stress in your marriage or a relationship, business
or personal, you will need to work on it during this cycle.
You will be inclined to develop your communication skills.
This can be a year of major changes for you. The closer the
July 11th lunar eclipse falls to your birthday the more significant it
will be for you. If
you are single you could marry this year.
This could be a year of tremendous growth for you… a year
that you could be tested.
Leo
- Your areas of focus will be geared toward your health and your
day-to-day routine. There
could be a change in your work environment or the people that you work
with. Any health matters
that you have been putting off will need to be taken care of, like a
physical or routine check up, etc.
You may be called upon for service, to help someone or make a
hospital visit. A
partnership or relationship would be very positive during this cycle.
You may need to be financially conservative until early
November.
Virgo
- Your areas of focus will be geared toward your social life.
You will want to have more fun, be more romantic and play more
during this cycle. This is
when the child in you can come out and play.
Become more active and involved in social groups and
activities. This is when
you will want to get in touch with your hopes and goals and dreams and
wishes. Your friends will
become more important to you and play a more active role in your life
during this cycle. Although
there is still seriousness about you, it is OK to enjoy life and have
fun.
Libra
- Your areas of focus will be
geared toward balancing your home and family life and your career.
There is a possibility that you could move, remodel or make
some changes in your home. You
could have someone moving in or moving out, like a child or parent.
This could prove to be a testing and challenging cycle for you as
Saturn, the teacher and tester will be coming into your sun sign this
fall. You will want to
conserve your energy and use your time wisely.
Scorpio
- Your areas of focus will be geared toward your spiritual and mental
development, which is where you will gain your strength. This
is an excellent time to develop your intuition and higher
consciousness. There may be an opportunity for you to expand your
education through traditional or non traditional avenues.
Travel may become more available or important to you as
opportunities may arise. There may be an expansion in your work place
or environment or an opportunity to move into a larger office.
Sagittarius
- Your areas of focus will be geared toward your finances and
investments. This could mean a change or fluctuation in your finances.
You will want to reassess your values and what is important to you.
You may want to take a second look at your insurance coverage.
Your work ethics are very strong now and you will be rewarded for your
hard work and diligence. You are in a cycle for a status change or a
promotion opportunity. This
cycle is in effect until the end of October for you.
Capricorn – Your areas of focus will be geared toward your gaining power and
maintaining control. This is a time when you will want to take charge
of everything, especially your own life.
It is very important that you try to maintain your flexibility
during this cycle, which will be in effect for several years.
You could be going through a physical metamorphosis or change.
Relationship issues will be prominent on your agenda.
This is perhaps where it will be most important for you to
allow yourself to be flexible. This
can be a very positive cycle for you if used correctly. If your
birthday is on or within five days of December 26th, this will be a
very significant cycle for you.
Aquarius
- Your areas of focus will be geared toward helping others.
This may be done overtly or from behind the scenes.
You may find yourself volunteering or being called upon to
provide service or help. The changes in your work environment that you
have been expecting or waiting for will soon take place.
You will continue to maintain a positive and optimistic
attitude with a positive outcome to most endeavors that you choose to
take on. You will want to
be sure to take care of your health, check ups, physicals, diet,
exercise are all important for you during this cycle.
Pisces
- Your areas of focus will be
geared toward the social aspects of your life.
You will want to become more active in groups or organizations.
This can be a very social and outgoing time for you.
Learn to play and enjoy life.
You will be guided to be in the right place at the right time.
It is like you have a guardian angel watching over you.
This is a perfect opportunity for you to reassess your life and
decide what you really want to do and what is really important to you.
After all life is a journey. Enjoy the ride.

22 – Saturn goes into Libra - Saturn
in Libra - until
– November 2012 -
During the past 2 ½ years
Saturn has been traveling through Virgo.

25th – Full Moon in Aquarius @ 9:37 PM EDST
– This is when we can expect to see the fruition of that which we
began during the new moon cycle. This
is the time of enlightenment and illumination.
It is a time of clarity and completion.
Remember that emotions and tempers can run high the few days
prior to and following the full moon.
The moon in Aquarius will be more attention to public affairs
and social matters. People
will tend to be more friendly and interactive.
It is a great time to have a party or social affair.
